Diploma in Human Resource Management with ECDL Core and Advanced

This programme is specifically designed for those with an interest in human resource training and development, and personnel management. It is suitable for persons who are seeking a qualification in order to improve their performance and enhance their career and employment prospects. The overall objective is to provide participants with a knowledge which will:

Provide them with an understanding of the importance of human resource development to the success of a business. Increase and enhance their employment opportunities;

Students who successful complete both modules of the programme will be awarded the Diploma by the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), a worldwide examining body for students . There are two stages to the assessment procedure: (1) modular assignments and (2) an end of year examination. The programme involves 1 years study and the subjects involved in each module are:

Module A:

· Human Resource Management
· Recruitment and Selection
· Staff Training
· Motivation in the workplace
· Managing stress at work
· Employee Relations Framework
· Employment Legislation
. Information Technology
· Leadership and Organisation Culture
· Conflict and its resolution

Module B:
Employment Law
The Legal Framework

Module C:
Students can take ECDL Core and 2 Advanced modules

Entry is open to all persons over 18 years of age, subject to satisfactory
