Course Content
Students will acquire an up-to-date knowledge of computers and their applications, understanding and applying structured programming concepts / techniques in the design and writing of computer programmes.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of five passes on Ordinary Level papers in the Leaving Certificate to including Mathematics (Ord Level) and English or a distinction in Leaving Certificate Applied, Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme and/or relevant work experience.
Careers or Further Progression
Year 1
Students will acquire the skills necessary to take up employment as trainee computer programmers, technicians, website designers. Students can progress to Higher certificate and degree courses in several IT Colleges.
Year 2
Students will acquire the skills necessary to take up employment as trainee computer systems programmers, technicians, website designers. They will also be equipped in Networks Technical Support and other computer related areas. Students can progress to Higher certificate and degree courses in several IT Colleges.
