Advanced Certificate in Multimedia and Web Development
FETAC Level 6 (EMMWD)

Introduction:
Students on this two-year course will integrate sound and animation with a wide range of media including website creation, design and management. TI will enable participants to pursue areas like: Audio - Visual Entertainment & Game, Website Design and Management, Digital Imagery, Advertising & Marketing, Graphic Design, Animation etc. Modules offered will include Multimedia Technology, Multimedia Project development, Graphics and Animation as well as a range of kills in various forms of authoring, database, internet productions.

Aim:
This two-year course has been specifically designed to prepare students for employment in the Multimedia Technology Industry or students may progress to higher education. Employment in this sector has seen rapid growth over the past number of years and will continue to grow in the near future.

Entry Requirements:
Students should have completed the FETAC level 5 Certificate in Multimedia Production or an equivalent qualification.

Certification:
There is continuous assessment throughout the year and examinations in May. This course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) at level 6. Successful students will receive a FETAC Level 6 Certificate in Multimedia and Web Development (EMMWD)

Career Progression:
This course is designed to equip students with the qualifications and experience necessary to progress directly into employment in multimedia technologies or obtain a place in higher education.
